Sunya (pronounced ‘shoon-ya’) :

Around 500 AD, Aryabhata, a mathematician and astronomer living in India, made a significant contribution by crystallizing the notion of ‘zero’ – a concept which had tantalized thinkers for centuries.

Much the same as the zero, when a leader is recognized as being inspirational yet humble (as a ‘servant-leader’) he or she is able to trigger the multi-fold growth of a team’s vitality as a living entity with infinite potential.

A simple shape of Euclidean geometry has been known since before the beginning of recorded history.

Most scholars over the ages have felt there was something intrinsically “divine” or “perfect” that could be found in circles. Hence, the circle (or ‘mandala’) symbolizes the cycle of creation…the eternal play between the polarities.

The circle is a symbol of infinity which encompasses all possibilities, and it shows how everything relates. In the Far East, the symbol of ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ is drawn within the outline of a circle. In the Zen tradition, the question often asked is whether the circle is ‘full’ or ‘empty’?

In the center of the circle, all the polarities are resolved and there is Power-in-Peace.

Each person must decide where they believe the true center lies; it is not necessarily the geometric center …When we ‘ground’ ourselves …we enter our own center. It is through this space that we know and heal ourselves and others and from which we can best serve the world.

As we progress on the journey of leadership, each one of us must discover the virtues of Simplicity, Patience and Compassion extolled in the ancient scriptures of the world.

I am an associate of the Marshall Goldsmith coaching global network & the Fons Trompenaars network for Cultural Intelligence (CQ). I hold a CVPCC from the Center for Coaching Mastery (NJ, USA) and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad – a Top 5 Business School in Asia-Pacific.

I have a deep interest in the art and the science of Life ‘n Leadership. My mantra is to ‘Learn, UnLearn, ReLearn’ and then to share. For me, this is a way of expressing gratitude for the abundance I have received.

I am based out of Toronto and travel extensively to serve my clients. With over 2000 hours of coaching across 20+ countries, I am humbled to receive a net promoter score of 94.
